Your Planet Needs You Kaua'i!

Aloha everyone, we are a group of high school students who, in the process of making a difference, joined Leadership Kauaʻi to help raise public awareness on Climate Change. As many of you know, the world is changing, and as we are surrounded by water, we will be directly affected by this. Many local businesses and residences, along with Kauaʻi’s unique biodiversity, will be affected by increased temperatures and rising sea levels. This is why we are holding this challenge; we hope that through this we will inspire more environmentally-aware reflections and actions. Taking care of our planet benefits us all, and you guys also have the opportunity to win over $250 in prizes!

THE IG CHALLENGE BREAKDOWN
This month's challenges include small environmentally sound actions, which can be found listed in the Challenge Resources page (1-18).
We encourage you to do as many tasks throughout December. For every Task completed, you get One Entry of your name into the prize drawing. You will need to take a picture as proof that a task has been completed.  Although you can make multiple posts throughout the month, we ask that you combine your photos (using slides, photogrid, etc.) into as few Instagram posts as possible to make it easier for us to track and see your entries. If we didn’t ‘Like’ your post, that means we didn’t see it. Feel free to Tag us again in your post so we get another notification.

Complete the most tasks for a chance to win the "Climate Warrior" prize. And there is no limit so go all out. Just make sure to post your entry before the Dec. 31st deadline.

To qualify for the prize drawing, you must submit your video or photo entry online through your social media platform by:
 [ Step 1 ] Follow and Tag
@YouGotThisKauai and @TheKauaiResilienceProject on video and photo entry posts.

[ Step 2 ] Use the following Tags on your entry posts:
@YouGotThisKauai Challenge and all other hashtags assigned for the posted monthly challenge.

To avoid entry disqualification, make sure to follow ALL instructions and requirements posted for each challenge.
[Step 3 ] Share your video post with friends and family.
Encourage your peers to join in on the challenges.
THE OHANA CHALLENGE BREAKDOWN
To participate in the Ohana Challenge portion, you'll need to do the challenge and complete the google form to submit your entry. The google form to input your challenges will be sent out at the beginning of every week, but you will have the whole week to fill it out. It is not required to complete every challenge.
