Aloha!
This project was born from the hearts and minds of six individuals, each bringing their own unique passions, life experiences, and cultural perspectives. As we reflected on our childhoods, the well-being of our families and loved ones, and the hopes we carry for future generations, we were united by a shared commitment to the stability, sustainability, and thriving culture of youth and families on Kaua‘i. Given the deeply sensitive nature of our work and its potential for long-term impact, we engaged in thoughtful dialogue to align our ideas and intentions with the project goals and criteria set before us. Through open communication, mutual respect, and a collective dedication to our mission, we moved through the natural process that all teams face. What you now see on this beautiful webpage is the culmination of that journey—a reflection of the best of each of us, brought together in service to our island community.
Our Why Statement
Kauai’s youth are experiencing a rising crisis in mental health, with increasing rates of substance abuse and suicide. The lasting effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic, island-specific social stressors, and limited access to mental health resources create significant barriers to support and recovery.
Our goal is to increase awareness of the resources available to support individuals and families. See our list of Resources for your Education, Comfort and Care.
