LK Adult Class 2014 Sets the Pace

LK Adult Class 2014, individuals selected by their employers for the 10-month course, are moving swiftly into the 2nd half of their annual leadership development program. They opened the year at Salt Pond, then up to Koke'e for their overnight retreat, followed by a nail-biting rope climbing day at the Kupu A'e Ropes Course,  engaged in relatively mild physical but intense leadership practice development day at Kauai Community College, changed it up to getting energized and the art of story telling at StoryBook Theatre,  and to their most recent class at Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative for an in-depth look at themselves while while planning their community project. They are doing a terrific job staying on track with the LK curriculum and designing a much needed community project, all while keeping up with their professional obligations and taking care of their families. Be sure to give them a supportive "Hi 5" or hug of encouragement to finish out the year with a bang!

Being an LK Student may look like it's all fun and games, actually it is. And not. This journey requires guts to go within, to decide whether or not to risk bringing forward the leader within. Each of member of Class 2014 has chosen to dig deep and the fruits of their labor is almost ripe.

Here are photos from their first half of the year. Next up is Challenge the Process on the Huleia River and County Council Chambers. Imua! Class of 2014!
